On August 23, 2024, our son Joel was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a type of blood cancer more common in young children. Crazy how your life can change in a matter of hours. We were living a parent's worst nightmare: devastated, confused, broken, helpless. Questioning why us, why our baby boy, who just a few days prior was living his normal, happy life. Prior to his diagnosis, Joel was a vibrant, energetic 1-year-old who loved to spend quality time with his big sister and hug and kiss mommy and daddy. Now his life took a different path that no one prepared us for. Everything can be expensive from gas to every trip to the hospital for chemotherapy. Anything can help fight his battle.
