Join Joe's Battle With ALS
Donation protected
Today, we want to tell you about a dear friend, Joe O'Keefe. For those who have not had the chance to meet Joe, we can tell you that he is one of the most compassionate and giving people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Sadly, Joe was diagnosed with ALS in April 2023. ALS is a fatal type of motor neuron disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to move. It's often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease after a famous baseball player who died from the disease. There is currently no cure for ALS, and it can be a long and difficult journey for those who are diagnosed with it.
Joe has recently moved with his family from Chicago to South Florida, where they are trying to adjust to this new reality. Joe and his wife have two young children, Lydia (6) and Lucas (4), who are facing a challenging and uncertain future. The costs associated with this disease can be overwhelming. From the high cost of medications to the modifications needed for their home, Joe's family is facing a financial burden that they simply cannot bear alone.
We are fundraising to help offset some of the costs that Joe's family will incur during his battle with ALS. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help them cover some of the expenses that they will face in the coming months and years.
As a community, we have the power to make a difference in the lives of Joe's family. We can show them that they are not alone in this fight and that we are here to support them every step of the way. Any donation, no matter how small, can make a significant impact and can go a long way in helping this family during this difficult time.
So please, consider making a donation today to help Joe's family. Together, we can make a difference and show them that they are loved, supported, and not alone in this journey.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
