Seeking Help for My Dad.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Gage Franke, and I'm the son of Joey Franke. My dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He had no previous health problems, so it came as a shock to everyone when he had a sudden heart attack in 2022. At first the doctors told us that with medication his condition was manageable. Then he suffered a second heart attack. After the second heart attack he was unable to work, which affected his emotional and mental health more than the actual diagnoses. A few months ago, he was being prepared to have a Defibulator put in. The doctors told him that his heart was too damaged and that he needed a transplant. Since losing his ability to work and losing the insurance provided by his work, my dad has been struggling to contiune paying for the transportation costs for treatment, regular bills, medication, and the quickly accumulating medical costs. His savings are almost completely drained, and he's already lost his mode of transportation and is in serious danger of losing his home.

This GoFundMe's purpose is to try and help him by easing the financial burden that this unexpected worsening of his medical condition has caused. He's waiting on disability benefits, but if you've ever had to get disability benefits, or helped someone get disability benefits, then you already know that it's not a quick process. I don't think he'll be approved anytime soon. It's not an easy thing to ask strangers for financial assistance, but I don't know what else to do.
