Hi everyone!
I’m excited to share that this year, I’ll be running my first marathon! It feels surreal to finally make this dream a reality after imagining it for over 10 years. As many of you know, I’m a Behavior Analyst working with children and adults with Autism, and supporting those with special needs has always been a passion of mine.
To make this experience even more meaningful, I’ve chosen to run in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon to support Equine Dreams and their Equine Assisted Services Program.
For 29 years, Equine Dreams has been offering free therapeutic riding services to children, adults, and veterans with special needs in Northern Illinois. Through equine-assisted therapy, they positively impact the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being of individuals with disabilities. The program is volunteer-run and donation-driven, and every dollar raised goes directly towards providing these free services.
Some of the services Equine Dreams provides include:
Adaptive Horsemanship
Miniature Horse Visits
Groundwork
Sensory Path
Veterans & Heroes Program
Life-size Horse Simulator Lessons
Life Skills Development
To learn more about the incredible work they do, please visit their website at www.equinedreams.org.
I’d be so grateful if you would consider sponsoring me for this 26.2-mile journey. All donations are fully tax-deductible, and every contribution will help provide free sessions for those who need them most.
Thank you so much for supporting both my marathon journey and the amazing work of Equine Dreams!
Best Wishes,
Jordan
