Join Krista's Battle Against Cancer

Every family has battles that are unique to their story. In our family, that fight has been with cancer. Recently, our family was thrown back into this battle once more. As a result of a routine mammogram, Krista (Hawkinson) LaPierre was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is preparing to embark upon a lengthy treatment plan that will include chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatments.

We are grateful that her prognosis is very good and there is a high likelihood that these treatments will be effective. We are praying that the cancer would be destroyed so she can continue to enjoy a long and healthy life. Nonetheless, there are decisions, trials, and unknowns ahead.

Krista is a devoted mother to her sons Maverick (6) and Beckett (4), wife to Mitch, as well as a passionate elementary school teacher. As she faces a year of treatment, she will be unable to work, and will be devoting her time and energy to her treatment. Because of her inability to work and the cost of treatment, Krista and her husband Mitch will incur significant costs.

We want the LaPierre family to be able to focus on fighting their battle with as little extra stress as possible, so we are asking you to join us in rallying around them by helping to defray as much of their financial burden as possible. Let's do everything we can to support Krista, Mitch, Maverick, and Beckett. We are appreciative for any help you can provide.
