Help Lee Fight Stage 4 Cancer
Our dear friend Lee has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma. We have a long, tough fight ahead, but we are hopeful, determined, and ready to kick cancer’s ass.
That said, this fight is not cheap. We are battling on all fronts—medically, emotionally, and financially—as we explore every possible option to help Lee beat this disease!
We are humbly asking for any support you can offer. Whether it’s a donation of any size or simply sharing our story, every bit helps more than you know.
Who Lee Is
Lee is so much more than this diagnosis. He is:
❤️ A devoted father to his beautiful daughter, Aria, who has autism and will require lifelong care.
❤️ A son, a brother, a life partner, and a friend who has always given selflessly to those he loves.
❤️ A fighter. And now, he needs all of us in his corner.
What Your Support Will Help With
We are preparing for staggering medical costs, including:
✅ Infusion treatments – $7,800 per week (3 appointments per week)
✅ Medications & supplements – $500+ per month
✅ Travel to and from treatments – 3-5 days per week, 50 miles each way
✅ Ongoing medical bills & expenses
Every dollar goes directly to keeping Lee in this fight.
Our Story So Far
The Diagnosis That Changed Everything
On February 17th, my boyfriend Lee went to the ER for scans to figure out the cause of his persistent back pain. He had thrown his back out about a month prior, and we tried everything—icy hot, massage, sauna, rest, chiropractor, trigger point injections, cupping—but nothing relieved his pain.
We assumed it was a pinched nerve or a bulging disc. Instead, we got the worst possible news—CANCER.
Doctors found lesions all over his spine, with some already fracturing vertebrae and ribs. They also found tumors in his lungs and liver.
What We’ve Learned Since
In the past few weeks, we have endured:
Multiple hospital stays
A week at Mayo Clinic for pain management & radiation
A terrifying 911 call when Lee woke up struggling to breathe
After a biopsy, five rounds of radiation, and a PET scan, we learned the full scope of what we’re up against:
Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma.
The cancer is in:
His bones – spine, shoulders, arms, hips, femurs, and jaw
His organs – lungs, liver, and spleen
His lymph nodes – chest and neck
Lee is only 38 years old.
The Part That Haunts Me
In 2019, Lee had a spot removed from his right shoulder. His lymph node came back clean. The spot was removed with good margins. He was told no further treatment was needed.
For years, he did everything right—regular dermatology checks every six months, every follow-up appointment. But not once did they do a CT scan.
I’ve done a lot of research, and unfortunately, this is standard protocol.
Melanoma is most likely to return within 3-5 years.
It can come back without a visible skin spot.
Doctors admit that a single cancer cell can break off and spread elsewhere.
So why aren’t scans standard practice? If doctors had been proactive, this could have been caught early—as a small spot in the lung. Instead, it was found when it had already spread everywhere.
Our Message to You
Melanoma is NOT "just" skin cancer. It is aggressive. It is deadly. And the medical system doesn’t treat it that way.
Please advocate for yourself.
✔️ Push for deeper scans.
✔️ Ask the hard questions.
✔️ Don’t assume that just because a mole was removed, you’re in the clear.
It’s worth the time. It’s worth the money. It could save your life.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. Please donate, share our story, and spread awareness.
Most importantly, please keep Lee in your prayers. Send us all the strength and positivity as we fight like hell to kick cancer’s ass.
Please request to join if you'd like to follow our journey.
