Join Lisa Burns' Journey to Healing

Hello,

My mother, Lisa Burns, was in a major car accident on Sunday evening. I am so thankful that she survived. Lisa is such a wonderful person that during the accident, she was more concerned about the woman who hit her than herself. She has a fractured T11-T13 and a Grade 1 lacerated liver. She spent most of the week at Upstate University Hospital. I am happy to report that she is currently home. Unfortunately, she needs a lot of services, including physical therapy. Due to where her home is located and the fact that her care is related to a car accident, there isn't an agency that will provide home care for her.

The moment the police officer notified me of her accident, I made the six and a half hour journey north. She is looking at months to fully recover. I am asking for help to support myself and my daughter and be able to transport her to her appointments and any other care she needs. Due to billing reasons, I also need grab bars installed in her bathroom for showering.

Lisa spent many years working in home care and she cared for her family members that have passed. She is such a loving soul and anything will help her out. Please like, comment, share to spread the word. Thank you all so much.

Update: Lisa’s American boxer was with her during the crash. We attempted to take him to and emergency vet last night they were all full. He has an appointment at 11:10 today. He started coughing up blood yesterday afternoon. He is eating soft foods only and only drinking a half a bowl of water a day. Will keep everyone updated.

Lisa managed to sleep through the night last night. She’s still not eating, thanks to everyone helping out. There will be many costs to their recovery. Please and thank you. Don’t forget to share.

UPDATE 5/24

Lisa Burns dog is ok he has some irritation in his throat, the vet gave him a prescription. I have to keep my eye on him the next few weeks, trauma that he’s gone through can appear in dogs weeks after. It’s going to be a long summer. Thank you for all the support everyone, please keep sharing. It’s definitely lifting her spirits seeing the support and knowing she’s going to be ok. UPDATE

My mom managed to eat today, she has been more awake as well. She is experiencing some dizziness, keeping an eye on it, if it worsens I’ll be calling her doctor. We managed to get shower bars installed today, thank you!! Looch was playful today with my uncle that was refreshing to see. Happy to report today was a better day. Update

Lisa is eating more everyday. We have a doctor’s appointment this week. She has been more awake the last few days. She is focusing on her recovery. Looch was playful yesterday, just for a few minutes. She’s had lots of visitors over the weekend thank you. Let’s keep them prayers and shares going to show her she’s not alone in this.
