Mary was diagnosed with SLL, a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This was in January of 2020, right at the start of the pandemic. That being stressful as it was, a cancer diagnosis brings up a lot of fear. It is a blood cancer which affects your blood, lymph nodes, and spleen in the beginning. I experience a lot of fatigue, so my lack of energy prevents me from doing lots of things.

On top of this, I have dealt with cervical dystonia, which is a nervous system disorder that causes pain and a lot of involuntary movement. I have been pursuing holistic treatments since my diagnosis, which are all out of pocket.

Every 3 months it costs 9k out of pocket.
