Join Megan Ley's army- let's help her beat cancer

Megan Ley is the warm, welcoming face that greets everyone in our school, especially the children who find comfort in her presence. She wears many hats – a caring nurse, a trusted confidante, an office administrator, a hall monitor, a loving hug, or just a reassuring smile. More than her work here, Megan works with children with exceptionalities in her spare time. She shares her passion for life with them and gives them opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have. Taking them on the adventures and giving them memories that will last them a lifetime! She is a proud single mom of the most amazing young man, a best friend, a sister and a daughter. Megan now faces an unexpected and challenging journey as she battles cervical cancer. Starting immediately Megan will be off work for the next several months and will be required to travel to and from Mississauga for treatment. The road ahead is uncertain, and while we can't predict the coming months for her, we do know that the support we offer in this difficult time will be a beacon of hope.

Despite tirelessly working two jobs to provide for her son and meet financial demands, Megan finds herself caught in our unforgiving economy. The stress is hard to manage, even on the best of days. This Christmas season, let's come together as a community to shower our Ms. Ley with the love and support she so selflessly gives of herself each and every day. Your kindness can make a world of difference in her battle, reminding her that she is not alone in her fight against cancer.
