Join Mount Sinai Church's Building Journey
Donation protected
Starting in 2004, Mt. Sinai delivered God’s word in a number of facilities, from a recreation center to a small suite in a two story building. We have since grown into a thriving non-profit and tax-exempt religious corporation, registered in the state of Georgia with ambitions to grow into a building that better suits our needs. Although few in number, our loyal church family comes together to bless our community with help in times of family crisis (fires, financial troubles, etc.), assistance in furthering education, as well as other forms of assistance or donations in times of need. We also celebrate and support important life moments such as weddings, funerals, holidays, birthdays, and many other events from the kindness of our hearts.
Mt. Sinai has long outgrown its current church building for a number of reasons. Only about 50-60 people fit inside the current building comfortably, often leading us to host church events at a local park (which requires service fees for every event). The building also lacks reliable air conditioning, contains just two small bathrooms, and requires going up two flights of stairs. Given the number of seniors and other visitors who deal with disabilities, chronic pain, and other health problems, it is simply too difficult for some to fellowship at our current building. Mt. Sinai needs to build a new church home to grow to our full potential.
We first ask for assistance from architects, builders, or anyone with valuable suggestions for our project (whether you desire to join the project, volunteer, or simply provide advice). We also kindly ask for financial donations, no matter the amount, as our small church lacks large donors to financially support this project. It will be nearly impossible to build this church if only funded out of our own pockets. The new church will be built from the ground up on the corner of Harris Trail and Port Royal Road in Richmond Hill, GA and covers enough space for the church building and a reasonably sized parking lot. We estimate a total cost of construction of approximately $300,000 paid by church members and those willing to contribute. All proceeds pay for the service fees from the building company, architects, and all other companies that will assist in the church’s construction.
In addition to financial support, our church family asks for prayer for our members, the construction company, and other affiliates, as we travel along this journey. Too many responsibilities get relinquished to such few people, so prayers for strength, courage, piece of mind, and patience are greatly appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts, we are grateful for the blessings that get us closer to our goal, as every penny brings us just a step closer to walking through the door of our new church. By helping us build this congregation, you help Mt. Sinai further teach and spread the word of God in the Richmond Hill area for generations to come as a beacon of love and support for the community.
Regardless of your desire or ability to donate, we ask that you spread our page with family, friends, and in your community. For further information about our church or our project, you can find us at our:
