Join PCA3's Fight for Reproductive Health!

Howdy all, Caroline here! Public Cervix Announcement 3, you know it, you love it, the annual event that is the all day rager to raise money in support of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic (PPSAT). September 1st, 2024, we will be returning to Wilmington to rally the community together to celebrate, educate, and libate on behalf of PPSAT. The last two years we have cumulatively raised over $20,000 that directly goes to support PPSAT and their efforts to provide life saving cancer screenings, STI testing, family planning, primary care, and safe/private access to abortions. Our annual event has historically been an overwhelmingly successful event, not only because of the funds raised for PPSAT, but for the local community and businesses who have partnered with us.

This project originated as in idea to host a yard sale in the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned in 2022. The local support, from its inception, has made it so much more than that. This passion project has now turned into an all day block party event that hosts local creators and musicians who are passionate about reproductive health care and education. Hi-Wire Wilmington is the venue for the all day market and block party and this year we will conclude with a benefit show at Bowstring Brewyard. This grassroots effort to fundraise has consistently exceeded my expectations and this year is slated to be bigger than ever!

This season we are looking to raise $15,000 to fund this project. PCA from the start has been a solo endeavor that has been financed by my personal savings. This is the first year we are looking to crowdsource funding to put on this event and we want your help! Funds provided by our sponsors and donations will go toward financing event space rental fees, event merch, band/talent compensation, and event location. We have a super cool super fun lineup coming your way this year, hehe. Any funds procured over our budget will go directly to PPSAT, with proof of donation.

This year, with an election looming in November, mobilizing voters for reproductive health care is more important than ever to restore and protect abortion rights here in our state. With your help we can further assist PPSAT in reimagining and rebuilding high-quality sexual health care, including abortion.
