Join Ricky's Journey to Healing

Meet 9 year old Ricky! On April 25, 2024 we received the most bittersweet news we could ever imagine, our beautiful god son Ricky was in desperate need of a new home. Due to unfortunate circumstances Ricky’s father has become unable to care for him. As for Ricky’s mother, she has passed away after heroically saving Ricky’s life during a ruthless drive-by shooting. As you could imagine Ricky did not come out unscathed. He endured gunshot injuries to both knees and lives with the mental trauma of seeing his mother pass.

We immediately jumped into action to gain custody of Ricky. The only thing we have ever dreamed of was to have a child within our home. We have been told for many, many, years that we would never be able to have our own child due to my own health concerns. After many devastating miscarriages, we now have been blessed with Ricky!

Although this is a blessing and we can provide the necessities that Ricky needs, we were not prepared for this phone call. We are asking for donations for Ricky as he is in need of clothing, toys, books, and all the small things that a child needs to grow. Due to Ricky’s past traumas, he is also in need of physical and mental health services that have and will continue to accrue unexpected medical and travel expenses. We understand that everyone is financially struggling these days. However, any donations would be so greatly appreciated!
