Support Ryan's Recovery: A Long Road Ahead
Donation protected
On Christmas Eve, our family received the most precious gift, a life-saving liver transplant for my brother, Ryan Singleton. After being diagnosed with life-threatening Hepatitis Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS), the only chance Ryan had for survival was a liver transplant, and we are incredibly grateful he was able to receive one in time.
In the weeks following his transplant, Ryan faced serious complications that led to an extended stay in ICU. For over 30 days, Ryan was placed on a respiratory ventilator and ECMO and kept heavily sedated as doctors work tirelessly to stabilize his condition. Despite the odds, Ryan persevered and recently was moved to a recovery room. While he is improving, the road to full recovery is a uncertain, and every day presents challenges-- physically, mentally and emotionally. His struggle is real!
Doctors have estimated that Ryan's recovery could take up to a year, with at least the next 6 months being critical to his physical rehabilitation. He is unable to work during this time. The uncertainty of his medical progress and timeline has left us all trying to navigate this trying time.
As Ryan focuses on regaining his strength, the financial burden of his recovery weighs heavily. Any donation will go directly to helping Ryan cover his basic monthly bills and expected hospital expenses so he can focus on healing, without the added stress of financial worry.
We know the road ahead will be long, but with your support, Ryan will be able to focus on his recovery, surrounded by the love and care he needs. Your generosity will make an enormous difference, and we are extremely grateful for every contribution, big or small.
Thank you for your kindness, thoughts, and prayers as we support Ryan on this difficult journey. None of this is possible without you.
