“Help Sarah Start Anew From Nursing Home”

Hi, my name is Dr. Sarah Phillips. Currently, I’m in a nursing home in Maryland. The four years in a nursing home, my mobility was compromised, and I endured adversity. After the death of my mother, I grieved heavily and was under large amounts of distress and my diabetes was uncontrolled. As well these years inside the nursing home, I experienced a loss of a nephew to gun violence, and last year two of my siblings and another nephew died.

I’m being discharged from the nursing home and back into society. I haven’t worked the 4 years of me being in a nursing home. I am kindly asking for donations. I am focused, dedicated, and motivated to overcome the challenges of rebuilding my life. I am determined to regain my independence and have stable housing, physical therapy to relearn to walk, and return back to the field of education- teaching and research writing and academic editing.

 After facing unimaginable challenges, unanticipated turns, I survived the worst. I’m on the right course to elevating and reclaiming myself.
