In the blink of an eye, Shannon and Shirley's lives were turned upside down. What they initially thought was a minor health issue quickly escalated into a life-threatening situation. Shannon was rushed to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA, with severe anemia, hypercalcemia, deteriorating kidney function, and extreme pain. After a 7-day hospital stay, they were faced with the grim reality of a multiple myeloma diagnosis.

This has been an incredibly emotional and trying time for both Shannon and Shirley. Shannon's condition has caused immense physical pain and fatigue, making it difficult for him to carry out everyday tasks. For Shirley, watching her beloved husband suffer has been heartbreaking.
