Dear Friends and Family,

As many of you know, my little sister, Stephanie (Hostetler) Friend, received a Stage 2 Breast Cancer diagnosis this summer. The news has been a heavy blow to Stephanie and her loved ones, but she has faced this challenge with remarkable strength and determination.

Stephanie is a devoted wife to Troy Friend and a loving mother to their two young children, Trace (4) and Londyn (2). Despite the difficulties she is facing, Stephanie has shown incredible resilience. She has worked tirelessly to educate herself about cancer and its treatments, making significant changes to her daily life to minimize toxins, improve her diet, and give her body the best chance to fight back. The changes she has made have already brought noticeable improvements—she is sleeping better, experiencing less physical pain, and has more energy. Food has become a vital part of her healing journey, proving that it can either poison or heal us.

Stephanie continues to work from home for Ferrellgas, and enjoys spending time with her family, whether they are playing in the river, antler hunting, 4 wheeling, exploring the land or being active in their community. Wherever the Friends are, there is comradery and fun to be had.

As many of you are aware, healthcare in the United States is prohibitively expensive. Conventional treatments come with a hefty price tag, and Stephanie is also committed to exploring alternative therapies that avoid further harming her body. Unfortunately, these holistic options are not only costly but essential to her well-being.

Having faced my own battle with Uterine Cancer in 2021, I understand the financial and emotional strain that a cancer diagnosis can impose. Stephanie’s journey is not just a physical battle but also an emotional, mental, spiritual, and financial one. Fear and uncertainty can weigh heavily on a person’s mind, and every bit of support helps light the way.
