Join Tallulah's Fight Against Heartworm

Tallulah is on a month long dose of doxycycline which helps kill bacteria that is often found in conjunction with heartworm. Her first treatment is the end of July costing around $600 dollars. At this time we are half way to covering her first treatment.

Hello, My husband, Michael and I are putting together this fundraiser . As some may know we are far from people who ask for help. We just got told that Tallulah is positive for heartworm.

We adopted her in December just before Christmas. We had a hole in our hearts that needed to be filled. Our first dog Kingsley had been diagnosed suddenly with Lymphoma the end of September and we only got an extra month him before he passed. Afterwards we realized we needed a dog and Lulah just fell in our laps during an adoption event with the MSPCA. When we adopted her she tested negative for heartworm twice. Once in South Carolina where she was originally found and the second time in Massachusetts when she came up. She is full of spunk and lets nothing get in her way, including missing an amputated front leg from getting hit by a car. We are trying to raise the money to cover the testing that has been done so far and her treatments in the coming months. We luckily caught it very early and shouldn't affect her too much.

With me being a teacher and not working in the summer our budget is already tight. We will be thankful for anything we receive and any shares we get. We are hoping to get her treatments started as soon as possible.
