Join The Fight Against Cancer for David Smith

On 11/11/2022 David Smith went for a routine colonoscopy and after some tests, was diagnosed with cancer and David and Nancy Smith's life was turned upside down. After 6 months of chemo, and 30 rounds of radiation and surgery, they are still fighting.

Witnessing someone we love with every fiber of our being go through so much pain, and being unable to do anything about it, is heartbreaking for Nancy, David's family, and friends, to say the least. Trying to understand why this is happening to them as everyone who unfortunately ends up in this type of situation, adds on to the stress of an already stressful situation.

However, they want everyone to know that this adversity hasn't, and will not, break them. Their love for each other has grown more than they ever thought possible, and they are firm in the belief that soulmates are a very real thing and they are determined to overcome this adversity, emerging even stronger than before.

Their kids affectionately call David "Ironman" because of his strength and resilience. He is fighting with incredible strength, and both David and Nancy don't know what they would do without the support of their kids and Nic. Nic, in particular, has never left his brother's side, and the circle of people surrounding them have been a source of tremendous support.

They want everyone to know that they've felt every prayer, every ounce of juju, and every healing thought that has been sent their way. They express deep gratitude for the overwhelming support from the community around them. So, now with David unable to work as he continues to have doctor appointments, surgeries, and hospitalizations and Nancy working as much as she can while having to leave work constantly to take care of David, they could use some financial help while Nancy carries the burden of regular household bills, medical bills, and the cost of everyday living.
