Join the Fight: Kelly Skeffington vs Brain Tumor

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls,

Kelly Skeffington has been one of my friends since 6th grade and needs our help. Kelly is a an incredible man, a devoted father of two, who is facing an unimaginable battle against a brain tumor. As we all know, life can be both beautiful and challenging, but sometimes, the weight of adversity becomes too much for one person to bear alone.

Kelly, a loving father, whose infectious laughter fills the room and whose genuine kindness touches the hearts of everyone he meets. He has always been the pillar of strength for his family, providing love, support, and unwavering guidance. Kelly along with Heather Tahja have raised two outstanding young adults. Kaleb and Bella who are already worried about their dad. These kids have been blessed to have him as their role model, mentor, and best friend. This fund will let them focus on comforting their dad rather than worrying about how bills will be paid.

Kelly will be having extensive Brain Surgery to remove an aggressive, quick growing, lemon sized tumor next week (July 24th) at the University of Iowa. The surgery will last around 6-8 hours. Pathology will determine the next steps, but regardless, there will be a long road to recovery.

As friends, family, and caring individuals, we can make a difference. Since Kelly is a self employed, father of two, this GOFUNDME is being started to help ease the overall burden, help with uncovered medical costs along with unknown expenses while he is out of work, recovering.

51% of brain tumor families report incurring medical debt which can lead to bankruptcy as a result of the costs of their care. We need to do what we can to prevent this extra stress on him as he recovers.

Just a bit about our friend.
Kelly, was a stand out baseball player through high school and college. After college, he worked tirelessly to buy out his dad and run his own motorcycle parts and salvage company that sells parts all over the world. Kelly became an expert on late model domestic and imported motorcycles. When I say expert, he is “THE expert” the people on TV call. I would not be exaggerating when I tell you that the Motorcycle Import Museum calls Skeffington to check facts!

Over the last 35 years, I have personally watched Kelly help multiple families, friends and strangers. In my eyes, he walks the path of greatness. Not to mention; Kelly has also helped more animals than Noah… and half of them are still at his house! (Kidding)

Please, share this fundraiser with your friends and family, and let's spread the word far and wide. Every share, every dollar, every kind thought counts. Let's come together and make a difference for a man who has given so much to those around him.

ALL donations will go directly to Kelly as the family will be the sole benefactor. Thank you for giving what you can and sharing this with anyone that can help. We can make a difference in Kelly’s life, like he has done in ours. Let's show Kelly and his family that love knows no bounds, and we are here for them every step of the way.

Thank you for your compassion, support, and prayers.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Bill Johns and the loving community standing beside Kelly and his family.
