Dylan’s Reason for Fighting the Fight against Cancer:
I always wanted to become a doctor. I like helping people. Blood doesn’t even scare me. I like to help put bandaids on and help people that are sick. I’ve been in the hospital and I like to tell people it’s not scary. The doctors help you get better. I heard about Alex at my school. She got sick with cancer and lost her hair. She sold lemonade to raise money for the doctors so they could help more kids. Now I want to help more kids too. I want to sell my old toys to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand. I’m selling each toy for $1-$5. You can send me $5 even if you don’t want a toy and I will give it to Alex.
More information about Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation: Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alex Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4 year old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement. To date, ALSF has raised more than $250 million and funded over 1,000 pediatric cancer research projects across North America.
