Join the Journey: Revive Scotland with Hosanna Fellowship

Friends! Romans! Highlanders! Lend me your ears.

When I was a cute middle schooler, I remember pulling out a large history book (with pictures of course!) from my family’s expansive book collection, finding a quiet corner of the schoolroom, and settling down to read. And like many of the books my family owned, this one was filled with unique factoids not normally taught in standard history educations. As I flipped mindlessly through pages, some picture must have caught my eye - enough to tempt me to read. While I can’t remember the book or the picture, I do remember the subject that stopped me: revival in Scotland. Which particular revival? Well, I can’t remember that either (there’s been a few over the years). Now, before you say, “This isn’t much of a story if you can’t remember anything,” let me tell you what I do remember. I prayed. Of course! For no age – young or old – prevents you from partnering with God in prayer. And in my quiet corner, big book in lap, I glanced timidly around the empty room and whispered, “Lord, do it again.”

Sure – it never occurred to me I might be doing it with Him. But here I am! Begging you for pocket change or whatever you can part with. These funds will go towards plane tickets, car rental, travel insurance, housing, food, etc. And if there’s a bit leftover, perhaps I’ll find me a nice wool sweater or sturdy brogues or some other small souvenir like a flock of sheep. And if I can get that past TSA, I’ll be happy to do a show-and-tell for you on return. Who knows – I might tempt YOU to go to the Land of the Brave and witness the Glory of God too!

While our exact itinerary is subject to change, our main objective is to work alongside Revive Ministries UK (formerly Revive Scotland) for their week-long Revive event in Banff, 13th–20th July 2025. “Banff will be our sole focus in 2025, allowing us to pour our energy into saturating the town and its neighboring communities with the Gospel through prayer, worship, and outreach.” (https://reviveministries.uk/)
