Hi there,
In the next week, I will be riding my first best buddies race in support of Mal's Pals. This amazing organization provides awareness, education and support systems for those with rare diseases. Find out about Mallory, her family and their inspiring foundation, story and how they are helping others.
Mal’s Pals Foundation was founded in 2017. After a little Boston girl was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called, Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, or RTS. Her parents and their friends decided to enter in a bike race to raise awareness for rare diseases like Mallory’s. The rest is history.
Since 2017, Mal’s Pals Foundation has grown from a team of 5 riders in the Best Buddies Challenge, to a support network involving hundreds of people, local businesses, partners and supporters.
Mal’s Pals Foundation strives to not only raise awareness about rare disease, but to encourage inclusion. Mal’s Pals Foundation believes, that it is in a most inclusive world, that we all become better people. It is not only beneficial to those with unique abilities, but it is of priceless value for anyone to learn and grow in an environment that is both inclusive and accomodating of all people.
