Help Rebuild St. Elizabeth After Hurricane Beryl
Donation protected
Hello friends, by now, you probably have heard of the devastation that Hurricane Beryl wreaked in my beautiful country, Jamaica. It made a direct hit on the Southern Coast of St. Elizabeth, where I grew up. It has totally obliterated our community, leaving people experiencing homelessness, without their basic needs of food, water, and shelter, without roofs, without electricity, and the internet.
A lot of families still cannot communicate with their loved ones to see how they are faring. St. Elizabeth parish is known as "the bread basket" of Jamaica as it provides the country with a large quantity of provisions, including root crops, fruits and vegetables, tree crops, sugar cane, and ginger. With that being said, most of the farming crops were destroyed by the hurricane, and almost all the fruit trees have been uprooted. Taking away the livelihood of the majority of our community.
It's with a heavy heart that I come to you, the public, seeking assistance in helping us rebuild our community. NOTHING IS TOO SMALL! As they say in Jamaica, one one cocoa full basket (meaning everything adds up). Thank you in advance. Let's rebuild Jamaica.
