Join together for Johnny

Anyone that knows Johnny Bjorndahl and his wife Shelli, know they are truly unique in the size of their hearts. They're always willing to do whatever they can for others; strangers and friends alike. These past four years have been very tough for them. They have suffered the loss of a son, their home flooded last year and they are still in the process of rebuilding. On Christmas Eve 2017 Johnny was checked into Oscner Medical Facility in BR for a severe blood infection. Later they descovered that it was started by a staff infection that had spread through his entire body attacking all his joints. Since then he has had two surgeries(on his wrist and spine). The infection located on his spine was so severe that he lost feeling in his legs. He was emergency Medivaced to the Oscner in New Orleans and rushed into surgery to avoid paralysis. The surgery was successful, but he is by no means out of the woods. It is estimated he will be there another 2 weeks and will have to have 2 more surgeries on his knee and lower back. As of right now Johnny is looking at a 2 month recovery if not longer. Although he has insurance, all expenses will not be covered. He and his wife have not been able to work and neither have sick leave.
