Join Toni Leigh in Her Cancer Fight

Hi everyone, it's me, Toni Leigh (Smith). I just recently found out that I have stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized to my liver and bones. I will have a port installed then they will do a biopsy so he can create a plan of attack on the cancer. the doctor said he's 80 to 90% sure he can find a treatment but it's not going to be curable.

This has all come as quite a shock! I went to the ER for rib pain and came out with a PET scan order and an oncology visit.

Then a cancer diagnosis all within a week. I found the results on "My Charts" and with the help of my uncle, who was a P.A., he helped translate it for me.

Since this has metastasized, I am in later stages and I'm going to be starting treatments. They will have to do tests to see which chemo meds may work for me. They most likely will be putting in a port for the IV treatments.

All of these visits and tests are very expensive and my insurance isn't covering much of it. My parents are very supportive and are trying to help me financially, but they are on a fixed income and it is a hardship for them, too.
