Meet Tyler and Yosef, two 5th graders at Winston Salem Christian School. Young and inquisitive minds that have created a project with 2 purposes...
1. Tyler and Yosef have been learning about micro giving and micro philanthropy. Tyler was interested in the possibility of crowd source funding for a variety of personal projects, intrigued by where people would give from around the world, and what they would give to. They will be tracking this information as part of their educational project.
2. After talking through some project ideas, Tyler and Yosef thought that a project that benefited their school could be a good use of funding! This is the philanthropy part of the project.
So, Tyler and Yosef are setting out on the idea of raising $25,000 for a new school playground. You can follow their story at Winston Salem Christian School's Instagram and Facebook @WSCSLion
The idea is to find 5,000 people willing to give $5.00 each. They will track the web of giving with a goal of funding from all 50 states and at least 50 countries on 7 continents. We wanted to do $1.00, but gofundme has a minimum of $5!
Here are some ways you can help!
1. Give a $5.00 Donation so they can move toward their goal of $25,000 from 5000 people. Please write your state or country in the comments of giving so we can track our locations of giving.
2. Follow their story on social media @WSCSLions
3. Share their story with friends and family on your social media. This will help us reach our goal of gifts from around the world.
Thanks for helping Tyler and Yosef!
