My name is Ulises Martin I am an amateur MMA fighter and Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt under the legendary Carlson Gracie Jr. I am also a minor league and arena football player and the proud father of two young boys.
On July 18th of 2018th, I was on my Kawasaki 650 sports bike doing about 40 in a two-lane avenue in Chicago when an uninsured SUV cut me off. The impact was so fast and hard that I shattered my teeth through the helmet and I actually got incrusted to the side of the SUV. I immediately blacked out and had to be resuscitated and taken to the emergency room by ambulance. I fractured some ribs, broke my nose, and injured my C3 & C5 vertebrae. In the ICU they had to amputate my left foot.
It's been a long recovery for me and now I am about to enter a rehabilitation program in Orlando Florida however my insurance does not cover my much needed intensive outpatient therapy and that is why I need your help in raising $15,000.
This tragic event has been a humbling experience in my life that has led me down an interesting journey of self-growth, personal development and has been eye-opening, to say the least. I simply want to be able to hug my children once again and live a normal productive life. Your help is much appreciated.
