Support Steven Dalicandro's Fight Against Hodgkins Lymphoma

Donation protected
Hello everyone.
We are creating this page on behalf of our brother, partner, and friend, Steven Dalicandro.

On September 25, 2024, Steven was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma (a form of blood cancer that develops in your lymph system) at the age of 55.
From the moment he received the diagnosis, Steven has maintained a fighter's mentality despite knowing the challenging and life-altering road ahead.

Steven is a person full of life and has a genuine love for his family and friends. He can always be found with a smile on his face, especially when cooking or watching New England sports! We know he wouldn't hesitate to help friends and family and we want him to have the same helping hand now in his time of need.

Just recently on 10/17, Steven completed his second round of chemotherapy. As Steven continues to focus 100% on treatment and recovery over the next six months, he will be out of work. Any money donated here will go towards alleviating the financial stress of hospital bills, general monthly bills, and temporarily covering the cost of living.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.

Kindly,
Diane, Peggy (Steven's sisters) and Meredith (life partner)

Below please find some of Steven's story and experience receiving the diagnosis in his own words.

One can never anticipate the myriad of emotions that flow when you are anxiously awaiting the call from your doctor with results..."There is a mass in your chest close to your heart, you need to get to the hospital." Back in July, I was experiencing a cough, fatigue, and a swollen lymph node near my left clavicle. My thought was new onset allergies at my youthful age of 55! Well since then, I have had multiple CT scans, a PET scan, countless blood tests, x-rays, biopsies, and surgery for more in-depth diagnostics confirming I have a mediastinal mass caused by Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My beautiful family has given me tremendous strength to move beyond the fear and anxiety to tackle this life challenge with ferocity. There is only one way forward...and that is to fight! Like my doctors believe, "We will destroy this lymphoma!" and I am focused on reclaiming my life and living my future full of health, love, and happiness.
