Join Us: Fight Breast & Cervical Cancer

With a global vision to reduce disparities and improve community health, YouthTogether successfully launched its first cervical cancer vaccination camp in July 2023 and first Breast cancer screening camp in December 2023. Building on the success, we plan to conduct another vaccination camp and breast cancer screening camp in 2025 with a common goal of targeting two common cancers in women in India- Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women in India. Screening mammograms can detect breast cancer, allowing it to be diagnosed at an earlier stage and treat the before it spreads. We aim to provide women access to breast cancer screening via free screening mammography.

Cervical cancer (HPV) vaccination is highly effective in preventing cervical cancer and is routinely given to children in the US. However, in countries with limited resources like India, many young girls do not get HPV vaccine, the barriers being lack of awareness and high cost.
