Join Us in Healing Jace's Heart Together

My name's Matthew, a hardworking father of 3 that's struggling like everyone. I am asking for support for my son Jace. As of this year, he has had three AFIB/SVT type attacks leading him to the emergency room each time. The cardiologist cannot diagnose him. When this happens, he generally cannot move and lays down, clenching his heart. This last event, EMTs had to defib/shock him to reset his heart because it was beating so fast and inconsistent. It's horrible seeing your child go through something like this, but if you know him, you know he's a happy-go-lucky, always smiling, Energizer bunny kid. This leads me here.

I have never been one to ask for help or done this. This situation brings us up to Boston Medical Center the last week of October for invasive testing and surgery to hopefully correct what is causing him and his heart, "which we have for some reason named Tony." I pray they can find and fix him. These "heart attacks" have gotten more frequent; he's had two in the last 2 months. He's on low-grade heart medicine to help prevent another before surgery. We are trying to be as supportive and positive and hope this will be all he needs.

It's already been a tough year as I am in school and struggling as much as it's hard for me to admit, and I am reaching out for anyone who can help in any way take some burden off. I have a supportive family and me and mom are behind him every step of the way. However, the test and surgery will take about 3 days, and boarding is wildly expensive, plus any medical expense, but also that may come along because the road has not ended. I appreciate any help from anyone, and if anything, a prayer would be nice. This is his first and hopefully last surgery because I don't want to think about what the next step will be if they cannot fix his heart. Writing this almost brought me to tears, and those who know me know that takes a lot. Thank you, pray for Jace.
