Help us support sweet Sointula on her health journey.
Those who know Tula know she has always been shy, but it became extreme recently. After some shifts in schooling, Tula moved into a new playgroup and her parents learned 6 weeks in that Tula hadn’t said a word to anyone, friends or teacher. She would participate and nod her head, but nothing vocal. The teacher assumed she needed to learn sign language.
Although Tula hasn’t been officially diagnosed, her parents feel she has Selective Mutism, an anxiety disorder. She was also born with Duane’s syndrome, an eye nerve issue, affecting the movement of her left eye.
Lots of research brought Tula to Josh Madsen, a Functional Neurologist. He is doing incredible work healing kids' brains from all sorts of ailments. In Iowa, Tula underwent a battery of tests.
What her parents learned was that her levels of mold are really high. Every doctor that has seen her results said they’ve never seen results that high in a child. She’s also experiencing leaky gut and leaky brain, causing her vagal nerve to be so out of whack, that half her brain shuts down when she is nervous/anxious.
The doctors in Iowa integrated her primitive reflexes, really helped calm down her vagal nerve. She's on so many supplements - it’s a big daily cocktail.
The good news is she’s improving. The hard news is she has a long road ahead.
Anyone who has pursued an integrative healing journey knows how massive the out of pocket expenses can be. Lets support Tula and her family for:
- Remaining medical bills from Iowa
- Ongoing support with her naturopath
- Purchasing all necessary vitamins and supplements
- Relocating to a dry location to detoxify from mold
- Support mom's time off work so she can be with Tula if they relocate.
All of this will cost well beyond the $20K we're raising but we have to start somewhere and I know we can do this together.
Let's heal this sweet quiet baby so she can grow up and change the world, just like her beautiful mama has.
