One of my dearest friends, Brittney aka Batty Goth, a talented graphic designer and devoted mother, and her husband Seth, are facing unexpected financial challenges. After Brittney graduated from SCAD with a Graphic Design degree in September 2023, she joined Vampyre Cosmetics as Lead Product Designer. Life was on track until unforeseen circumstances derailed their stability.

A dispute with a former investor impacted Vampyre Cosmetics' operations, affecting payments and manufacturing. Despite the court's favorable ruling, recovery has been slow due to complex paperwork and processing. As a result, Brittney has faced inconsistent pay since March 2024.

☆ The Personal Impact ☆

Brittney and Seth stretched their savings to the limit, but they're now struggling to keep up with bills. Brittney's student loan repayment is looming, adding to the stress. Seth, primary caregiver to their 3-year-old, Robin, can't work due to a medically fragile condition (multiple leg fractures). Many employers have rejected his applications, citing liability concerns.
