When I first got my kitten in October, he was the happiest, most playful kitten. I named him Chaand, which means the moon in Urdu. Chaand and I got so close so fast and became inseparable. He truly became my best friend.
One month ago, I went on a trip for four days, and in my absence, he developed severe stress. He began vomiting multiple times a day, which also progressed to mucusy stools. We rushed him to the vet, where they diagnosed him with stress colitis and told us the symptoms would resolve with my return.
One week after my return, the symptoms continued to worsen. His appetite at this point was completely gone. He continued to have mucus stool and was straining constantly in the bathroom. After two more vet visits, the X-ray finally revealed a mass in his colon (circled in the picture). He is no longer playful, faces extreme fatigue every day, and continues to struggle to eat. We have an appointment scheduled to do further work up for the mass and possible removal. Please help in any way you can. Anything is appreciated!!
