Support Baltimore Safe Haven After Devastating Break-In
Tax deductible
Dear Supporters,
Baltimore Safe Haven, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential support and services to the TLGBQIA+ communities across Maryland, recently experienced a heartbreaking and devastating break-in at our Drop In Center. This incident resulted in the theft of critical equipment and supplies, including AED machines, computers, printers, syringes, fentanyl testing strips, and a lock box containing keys to our vehicles. Additionally, hateful slurs targeting the transgender community were found plastered around our harm reduction department.
This marks the third break-in we have faced in over three years, and while we are deeply hurt, we remain resilient. Our strength lies within our community, and we are committed to overcoming this adversity. We will not be deterred by discrimination, hatred, or attacks, and we are determined to continue our mission of providing support, resources, and a safe haven for transgender individuals.
How You Can Help:
We are reaching out to our community and allies for assistance in rebuilding and restoring the vital services we provide. Your generous contributions will help us replace the stolen equipment and supplies, enhance security measures, and ensure that our Drop In Center can reopen as soon as possible. Specifically, your donations will go towards:
- Replacing stolen AED machines, computers, and printers
- Restocking essential harm reduction supplies such as syringes and fentanyl testing strips
- Enhancing security measures to prevent future break-ins
- Covering any additional costs related to repairs and reopening
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact and helps us continue to serve and support the transgender community.
