"THE LIGHT IS MEANT TO SERVE AS A SYMBOL OF TRUTH AND LOVE… AND HOPE. HOPE THAT EVEN IN A DARK SEASON, WE MAY BEGIN TO SEE THE WORLD... BENDING TOWARDS THE LIGHT"

These are the words that Charles Kuralt, as host, wrote for the opening of the Jazz Nativity. They never meant more than they do today. We are doing all we can to get this LIGHT out to a larger world.

We just produced this short sizzle: If you have seen the show, it will help you relive it. If not, it will be an introduction.

Composed by Anne Phillips and directed by Beth Ann Kennedy, the Jazz Nativity tells the story of Christmas through Jazz! Produced through our non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, Kindred Spirits, with the help of Chelsea Opera, this year’s show will take place in New York on December 16 at 8pm at the St. Paul and St. Andrew UMC on 86th and West End Avenue. It will additionally be done with local casts in various cities that have been doing it successfully for many years. It is now licensed for local productions through us, but we must expand that. We are looking for licensing through a major publisher, a production company to shoot a performance for streaming/programming, and a possible documentary.

All this takes money.

We have raised $20,000 just from you who know and love the show.

Can you help us raise another $15,000 to expand?

Any amount will help.

We would also welcome any ideas or connections.
