Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts,
I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea to support someone who has dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of others. Debbie Carver, a beacon of hope for countless pediatric cancer families, now needs our collective support in her own time of need. She has suffered a fracture that shattered her entire Tibia and knee requiring prosthetics because it simply cannot be put back together and for years, Debbie Carver has been a pillar of strength and compassion within our cancer community. Her tireless efforts have provided comfort, guidance, and unwavering support to families navigating the unimaginable challenges of pediatric cancer. From lending a listening ear to offering practical assistance, granting wishes, helping arrange our children’s funerals, she has been a source of solace and solidarity for those facing the toughest of battles. Now, as fate would have it, Debbie Carver finds herself in need of urgent medical attention. A surgery critical to her health and well-being lies ahead, presenting financial burdens that she simply cannot shoulder alone. Despite her selflessness and resilience, she now faces a daunting obstacle that threatens to overshadow her unwavering spirit. But here’s where we can make a difference. Together, we have the power to ease Debbie Carvers burden as she rightfully deserves so. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a profound difference in Debbie Carver’s journey towards healing. Your generosity will not only provide financial relief but also serve as a beacon of hope and gratitude, reminding Debbie that she is not alone. Let’s come together as a community and repay Debbie’s boundless kindness with the same compassion and support she has shown to so many others. Debbie will be located at The University of San Diego or UCSD for her risky surgery and will endure 6.5 hours- hoping her heart can make it through. She will then endure 8 months of rehab.
