Support Barb's Recovery - A stroke is NO joke
Donation protected
Mom is in the Acute Unit, and 7-14 more days in the hospital is NOT anyone's Christmas wish. But, what a New Year’s goal: getting her back to walking, talking, and playing bingo in her own kitchen - her own sweet home. PT and strokes suck, but that hospital bed is doing a great job convincing her to crush physical therapy like she's training for the Bingo Olympics.

We’re reaching out to share the story of a fabulous woman, Barb, who is currently facing one of the most difficult challenges of her life. For years, Barb managed her finances with care, living on a fixed income and finding ways to make it all work. But sometimes, life happens. Mom suffered a severe stroke w/a brain bleed, and is now in the ICU. Recovery will be long and demanding. As she battles to regain her strength, the medical and utility expenses are growing. Barb has always been a beacon of resilience and determination. She worked way into retirement years, is a widow, forced retirement (injury) and has been maneuvering medical without insurance. She has faced every challenge with grace making necessary adjustments. Now the stroke, so how can we help?
This GoFundMe campaign is our way support Barb by easing financial pressures so she can focus on her recovery. Every contribution - big or small—will help cover medical bills, utility costs, and other expenses that arise during this time.
We know the holidays can be financially tight for many, but even a small donation can make a meaningful difference. Your kindness will give Barb the gift of peace of mind and allow her to concentrate on what truly matters: healing and getting back on her feet!
