Join Us in Supporting Denae and Kofi

Hi everyone, my name is Gianna, sister and aunt to Denae and Kofi. I started this fundraiser to try and help take some of the stress and bills off of Denae’s shoulders. I know our community is so amazing so any help is much appreciated and prayers are always accepted.

Denae is one of the most amazing persons you’ll probably ever meet. She has a heart of gold and is always going above and beyond for everyone around her. She was born to be a caregiver and a when she found out she was going to be a mama, we were thrilled because she was always going to be the best one.

Unfortunately, Kofi’s dad decided at 38 weeks that he was not ready to be a dad leaving Denae unexpectedly a single mom. But like everything Denae does, she has thrived. She works her butt off to give Kofi an amazing life. She works full time, she’s a full time mother and she’s navigating new territory everyday.

She discovered at 2 months old that Kofi was exhibiting strange behaviors consistent with what looked like infantile spasms. She’s very diligent on his health and works closely with his doctor monitoring the spams.

In the last few months, Kofi has been in n out of multiple hospitals for ear infections, pneumonia, respiratory issues, asthma, and other illnesses. He currently is admitted at CHOC hospital with RSV and undergoing testing for the infantile spams.

As you can imagine, this is tough for any parent to go through, let alone by herself. She’s having to miss work and rearrange clients to be with Kofi which put a hit on her income as well as hospital bills and other living expenses that get put on hold to make sure that Kofi is taken care of.

So here we are. Just asking for prayers and answers as we figure out what is going on with our little angel. I know our community is so amazing and strong so if you’d like to help support Denae and Kofi in anyway, we are blessed for you.
