Jung Kim, the owner of Jung’s Quality Alterations in South Portland, Maine, has been in business for about over twenty years where many local bridals, dry cleaners and dedicated customers have trusted their items to be altered. Jung was diagnosed with stage-3 rectal cancer in the summer of 2022. After a year-long battle, Jung had thought she was cancer free after going through two different sets of treatment which involved radiation and chemotherapy. Unfortunately after a follow up check up on Jung’s cancer, They have found that the cancer has reappeared and she had to go through another intense therapy session. She has completed the treatment and therapy and hopes to reopen sometime in February 2024. She will work as her health and energy allows. It truly brightens her day to see her customers. We are very thankful for all the continued support and prayers. Any amount contributed is much appreciated and a huge support to Jung during this ongoing fight to beat cancer.
About Jung: Born in South Korea, Jung was forced to start working in clothing factories to support her family after elementary school. She would later with her husband move to the United States where they would end up settling in Maine to raise her two children and start her solely run business. Jung is a hard working and highly generous individual where she always puts her customers needs before her own. A year after losing her husband, Jung was found to have stage-3 cancer and had to close down her shop to fight her cancer.
This fundraiser was started to support Jung with her medical and living expenses. The Kim family and I would highly appreciate your support
