UPDATE 10/19/24: First, I want to say thank you so much for all your donations. We are completely blown away! We feel so blessed. Sorry it has taken so long to update you all as we have been waiting on information and still waiting. Layla is doing so well post surgery. She currently has swelling around the incision which the doctor said is normal as long as there is no infection, fever, or change in behavior. However, please pray it will go down so the doctor doesn't have to put a shunt in. Also, we found out her tumor is cancerous (Choroid Plexus Tumor, Stage 3) but the neurosurgeon and radiologist are pretty sure they got it all after looking at her most recent scans. Also, the spine MRI didn't show any metastasis. Layla will have to do chemo maybe stem cell (she's too little for radiation) but currently don't have a treatment plan until the genetic testing comes back. We have an oncology appointment Tuesday. We are trying to trust God in all of it but that's easier said than done some days especially after losing a child last year. We appreciate all your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for our sweet little Layla. Thank you all again!!!

Meet Baby Layla Rae. After experiencing the heart-wrenching loss of their baby in 2023, Layla’s parents were overjoyed and felt truly blessed when little Layla came into their lives. She is now 4 months old, and every moment with her has been precious beyond words. However, their world was turned upside down when Layla was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and she recently underwent surgery to remove it. Though the surgery offered hope, her prognosis remains uncertain.

As any parent would, Layla’s mom and dad want nothing more than to be by her side, comforting her through every doctor’s appointment, every treatment, and every sleepless night. They are doing everything they can to care for Layla in this challenging time.

Having just returned to work from maternity leave, both parents have already exhausted their vacation time combined with the need for ongoing care, have left them struggling. The heartbreaking reality is that they are forced to choose between being with their baby and keeping up with life’s financial demands.

We are asking for your help. Your donations will give Layla’s parents the chance to take time off work to be with their daughter during this crucial period, without the overwhelming stress of financial strain. Your support will allow them to focus on what matters most—being there for Layla as she bravely fights through this battle.

No family should have to endure this alone. Please keep Layla in your thoughts and prayers, and if you are able, any contribution will make a world of difference to this family as they navigate this difficult journey. Your kindness and generosity will help give them the strength they need to face the days ahead with hope.
