My son's Bar Mitzvah project is to help raise funds for the American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA). He was inspired to choose this charity after the horrific attacks, kidnapping, and killing of Israeli citizens on October 7th, 2023. As we live in California, it has been heart wrenching to watch the senseless violence and we all feel helpless to do anything about it. Not only do we have a lot of family in Israel that are constantly affected by this terrorism, our own cousin, Ran Gvili, was one of the victims who was murdered.

Israelis depend on Magen David Adom (MDA) to save lives every day. And MDA depends on Americans like you. Your support ensures MDA can save thousands of lives each year, from a sick child to a victim of a rocket attack.

In the United States, disaster relief, ambulance, and blood services are handled by an array of organizations. In Israel, there’s one organization that does it all — Magen David Adom.
