Join Us in Supporting TJ's Legal Fund: Seeking Justice and Setting the Record Straight
Dear Friends and Community Members,
We need your help to stand up for justice and support TJ, our beloved Harbormaster, in his fight against wrongful termination. TJ has dedicated his life to serving our country in the military and his community as Harbormaster. TJ has been an integral part of making Gloucester's waterfront what it is today. Despite his outstanding contributions and impeccable service record, TJ has been unjustly terminated following baseless accusations from a disgruntled employee who was terminated at the end of March 2024.
Over the past seven years, TJ has demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to his role as Harbormaster. His accomplishments are numerous and have had a lasting impact on our city, here are just a few:
- TJ has spearheaded initiatives to modernize and streamline office technology and processes, making operations more efficient and effective.
- He played a pivotal role in the successful completion of the Annisquam River Dredge Project, ensuring safe navigation for boaters and fishermen.
- The state-of-the-art Harbormaster Office and Boaters Center, which also houses Discover Gloucester. This facility enhances visitor experiences and promotes tourism.
- Through his diligent efforts, TJ secured funding for a brand new Safeboat and a second launch boat for transient moorings, further enhancing safety and services for boaters.
- The Harbormaster Office has received the prestigious Elite Fleet designation for the seventh consecutive year from Marinas.com, a testament to his commitment to excellence. An award that is only given to the top 3% of marinas or harbors in the country.
It is imperative that we come together as a community to support TJ in his legal battle to clear his name. Losing him as the Harbormaster is not just a loss for the department, it's a loss for our city and the waterfront. TJ's dedication, expertise, and tireless commitment to ensuring the safety and vitality of our harbor have been invaluable. His departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by both the department and the community. We owe it to TJ and to our waterfront to support him in his fight for justice and to preserve the legacy he has built for all of us.
Please consider making a donation to TJ's legal fund to help cover legal expenses and ensure that his rights are upheld. Your support will make a difference in TJ's fight for justice and will send a powerful message of solidarity and support to our city officials.
Thank you for standing with TJ and for your continued support of our community.
