My name is Deb Swayzee, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my sister and brother-in-law, Lizz and Tim Lindblad. During the course of Hurricane Helene, Lizz and Tim’s house flooded several feet. Fortunately, they, with their three cats, were able to flee by wading through chest-deep waters and are physically safe. However, their home suffered severe damage. We are as of yet unsure how much insurance will cover, and fear the home may be considered a total loss. During this time, we covet your prayers and any financial assistance you feel led to provide. These funds will not only help cover the home loss, but their needs during this time of transition.

Lizz is one of the kindest, most mindful people I’ve ever known. She has often provided me with a place to stay, mountains of food, and invaluable love and advice through some of the most difficult moments of my life. Together, Lizz and Tim touch everyone around them with their calm presence, gracious spirits, and insightful wisdom. They are two of my husband and I’s dearest friends. As their community, let’s rally with them and shower them with all the love, prayers, finances, and encouragement we can—as they would without a doubt do for anyone in need.
