Help Us Feed The Democratic of Congo & Join Our Race to 1Mil

Hi! we’re Zi Savage (she/her) and Phoenix Rose (she/her) and we’re in a race to bring awareness to The Democratic Republic of Congo! Our companies Flourish Ase & The Willow Tree are joining forces to raise 1 Million Dollars to assist the people of the Congo.

Due to the exploitation of resources by the Western world, over 6 million people have died in the last 30 years, over 7 million Congolese are currently displaced, and over 27 million people are facing starvation. The Congo has the ability to feed all of Africa, three times over every year but is unable to do so due to exploitation & forced labor. Children, as young as 4 or 5, are forced to mine cobalt for an average of $2 a day while tech companies profit billions of dollars without repercussions.

It's our goal to help support Friends of the Congo, a non profit organization, by raising $1 Million Dollars and we need your help to do so!

We all have an obligation to undo the atrocities that the world has caused on this country and this is the first step of many to do so!

We're two intersectional femmes who met in college and recently reconnected in June of 2023 when Zi of Flourish Ase was looking for a publisher and reached out to Nix, owner of Bookstand Publishing.

Zi who owns Flourish Ase, is an activist, rootworker and musician whose business focuses on offering generational healing services specifically designed for femme melanated folx. They are also a musician and speaker who advocates for Civil, Reproductive & Sex Worker Rights.
