Nick's Cancer Relief Fund

For those of you that know Nick, you know that Nick is an all-around great guy. He's a good friend, brother, son, dad, and even a step-dad, as shown in the picture above with his wife's daughter Makenna.
Many know that Nick was diagnosed with rectal and colon stage 3 cancer on 3/21/2015. After extensive chemotherapy and removal of most of his colon (which required that he now have a colostomy bag for the rest of his life) he eventually was given a clean bill of health. Nick was only 29 and had beat what most of us fear. Nick is strong and he is a fighter and with the love of his wife Jill, he made it through.
However, about a month ago, Nick's doctors told him that they saw something in the x-rays during his most recent checkup that worried them. After they consulted with other Oncologists down in Boston, they all agreed that Nick now had lung cancer in the middle of his lungs.
They scheduled an emergency PET scan for 3/24/2017 and gave him the results on 3/27/2017. Not only did Nick have lung cancer but from his pelvis up to his lungs was now full of Stage 4 cancer. The prognosis was that even with aggressive treatment, Nick only has 3 years to live.
As before, and still an issue from the first time, the bills are starting already in the first week to pile up, as Nick went straight into chemotherapy again. There are so many costs associated with a fight for one's life when dealing with cancer that it becomes its own other battle to figure out how they are going to afford the gas, the mileage, the baby sitters, the deductibles, the medications, the eating on the go all the time, etc. The list goes on and on.
And the reality is this. It is Stage 4 cancer which is not treatable. However, no one, especially Nick and Jill, just give up. So, they will fight and try everything to treat it in the smallest of hopes that against all odds? He beats it once again. But if not? Jill is left with planning and paying for the funeral and burial of her husband. The very last thing she should have to worry about is where that money is going to come from.
So I ask this. Please give whatever you can? If it's just $5? Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart, and Nick and Jill thank you more than you can know. If you can give more? Thank you! If you can't give? Please spread the word. Please let people know that we are Team Nick and we are going to be here with him to fight and pray that we can help Nick beat this dreaded disease. Please look for the group Team Nick - Nick's Fight Against Cancer on Facebook and join us! Share this GoFundMe and share the group! Hopefully we will have other fundraisers coming up to help continue the fight and to be there for Nick and Jill. Feel free to message me with any questions or comments on Facebook, on the group page, or even in comments here. Let's make sure that even if the worst happens? We who love Nick and Jill make sure that we did everything in our power to fight alongside him, and to make sure he is never alone!
