We are so glad and grateful you have found this page.
All of us know our Jolie in one or more ways: friend, wife, mother, educator, artist. Jolie has touched the hearts of all of us in her own special way. On March 10th, Jolie was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19. She is fighting the virus, and we have faith she will recover and continue her journey of making a difference in this world.
Our family is so very grateful for all of the love and support we have been receiving through this tough time. We still need you. Prayers are already being answered with some small, positive steps. We will be using this page as a central location for you to access general info and updates as she fights and recovers.
This picture is from the day we brought Peter to college four years ago. Peter will graduate from FSU on April 24th — we WILL recreate this picture and share it with all of you.
Thank you for the many offers of how our friends + family can help. We appreciate each kindness you send our way, and we only ask for your thoughts and prayers. This GoFundMe page is an easy way for us to provide updates via an accessible and shareable option. If you’re inclined, we will gratefully use any financial support to defray Jolie’s insurance out-of-pocket expenses, meals, and other family needs as we continue to focus on getting Jolie back home.
Once again, thank you for the outpouring of love and support. Peter is home from Tallahassee. He and Callie are both continuing with school remotely.
24 March Update:
Jolie was admitted to the hospital on March 10th and was moved to ICU on March 22nd. She is currently on a ventilator in order to help her breathe. On March 23rd, Jolie had several tests and procedures, and all of the tests revealed no secondary infections. This is very important as it allows her body to focus on only one task, fighting covid. The procedures have had some minor but positive results that we are celebrating. She is sedated, comfortable, and all of her important vital signs are within normal ranges.
Today, March 24th, Jolie will have her daily chest x-ray, and we are awaiting further results from other tests. We are grateful for all of the healthcare professionals at Orlando Health that are managing her care.
