Jon Bernasconi Medical Fund

UPDATE 12/6:

Jon had surgery today on his pelvic fractures and everything went smoothly! Keep the thoughts, prayers and well wishes coming his way!

As many of you have probably heard, on Monday 12/4, Jon fell 12 feet coming down a ladder on a job. He was Medi-flighted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto and was diagnosed with broken right shoulder, 6 broken ribs, broken lower back, shattered pelvis, punctured lung and a lacerated spleen.

He will be having surgery to stabilize his pelvic fracture and will remain in the hospital until he is stable enough to be released. Once he is able to go home, there will be lots of appointments and traveling back and forth to Modesto for doctor’s appointments in addition to the lost income. Durning his recovery time he will be unable to work and provide for his family. As a self-employed contractor, there is no paid time off or sick time for him to draw from.

Jon is an amazing husband and father and works his tail off to support his family and be there for everything they need. He always made it to every event before the girls graduated and continues to do everything he can to help and support them in their continuing education.

Jon has dedicated countless hours of his time to our community for years coaching softball and basketball and cooking for any fundraiser from the Bret Harte/AMA Wrestling dinner to Oysters and Oinkers. He is always helping out where ever he is needed. He shows up, no questions asked and gives 150% of what is expected of him again and again! He is always the first one to show up and the last one to leave.
