Jon Woodard's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, We are the Minoletti Family. We are starting this fundraiser for our dear friend and part of our family for roughly 30 years, Jon Woodard-
Jon was in a tragic accident on 11/4/22. Jon was asleep in his truck early hours of Friday morning and was woken up with flames all around him, his Semi Truck caught on fire with him and his two dogs inside. He grabbed his lifetime friend Cooper D, got him out of the truck, and went back to get his puppy Mitsy but was unable to get to her. While trying to get her out, he suffered third-degree burns all over his body, including but not limited to his Head, Shoulders, Back and more, with first-degree burns in his mouth, throat and lungs. Jon has been in an induced coma at a Burn Center since Friday. He has undergone two surgeries so far with skin grafting and will face many more. Currently, they are struggling to get his lungs to start healing, as his body is not producing enough oxygen to start the healing process.
Jon has many friends in the trucking industry and motorcycle world and could use as much support as possible and as many prayers as we can throw at him during these challenging times. Jon has lost his truck which was practically his home, as he is an Over the Road Heavy Haul truck driver. Many, if not all, of Jon's personal belongings from his life were in this truck and can never be restored as well as his puppy, Mitsy, which he treated as if she were his child.
Anyone that knows Jon knows that he is one of the most caring and selfless people you'll ever meet; He will go above and beyond to help anyone in need. When Jon comes to visit, he always brings donuts or pastries and then makes everyone breakfast AND lunch. Jon loves BBQs and socializing until you literally can't talk anymore. He would bring his dogs on walks every chance he got and loved to spoil them rotten.
Jon's life partner Deb has also been a part of our family and has been staying alongside Jon as he is facing these trials.
On this long road to recovery to what will be Jon's new normal life, Jon will face many more surgeries, and his medical bills will be costly. Jon and Deb could use all the help they can get in this time of need.
Please keep Jon in your thoughts and prayers while he is traveling down this Long Road to Recovery. Definitely not the road Jon would like to be traveling.
