Jonas & Alma Miller

Most of our community is aware that another Amish buggy carrying two teenage boys was hit last Thursday, 02/18/2021, on County Highway M. If you remember the fundraiser we did for Eli & Rachel Miller a couple of months ago, this would be Eli's two nephews (Joseph & Levi). They were returning home from doing chores at another Amish family's farm. One of the boys (16 year old Joseph Miller) was taken by ambulance to our local hospital where he was treated and released. The other boy (17 year old Levi Miller) was airlifted from the scene and taken to Eau Claire with severe head injuries where he remains in a medically-induced coma.

There has been no change in Levi's condition as of the date this fundraiser is being set up, 02/22/2021.  The medical team has been unable to get the swelling/pressure on Levi's brain to go down as they had hoped, and his outcome does not look to be a promising one. 

The family continues to pray for Levi, as do so many in our community and across the country.  THANK YOU ALL.  Many people have inquired about what happened to the horse.  I am sorry I did not include this in previous posts, but the horse did not survive the accident.  The buggy was also a total loss.  This family is going to have numerous expenses that arise as a result of this accident.  Any donation is greatly appreciated for Jonas & Alma Miller.  If you are unable to make a donation, please share our fundraiser and continue to keep Levi in your prayers. 

02/24/2021 Levi Miller, age 17, passed away shortly after midnight.  This is not the outcome so many of us hoped for.  We must now turn our prayers to Levi's family as they grieve and try to cope with this very tragic loss.
