Jonathan Lenz Medical Expenses in Memoriam

Jonathan James Lenz was born November 8, 2023 to Katherine and RJ Lenz. After spending 10 days in the NICU at Halifax hospital in Daytona, his parents took their first and only child home with them to Ormand Beach. On December 1st, while at home, Jonathan stopped breathing and was rushed via ambulance to Advent hospital in Daytona where he was resuscitated and immediately flown to Arnold Palmer Childrens Hospital in Orlando for a higher level of care. It was several weeks, countless tests, and unknown amounts of prayer before it was determined that Jonathan was suffering from a rare condition that kept his brain in a constant state of seizure that would ultimately limit his time here. After 38 days of fighting and pleading with God to save Jonathan, one week ago today, and one day shy of his 2- month birthday, he left the comforting arms of his mother and father on this earth to be in the arms of Jesus. While this is not the outcome we wanted, we rejoice in Gods promise that we will see him again and that Jonathan is pain free.

I am writing this gofundme on behalf of Jonathan's Mother (my sister) and his Father (my brother-in-law). While their biggest need remains prayer and healing (please keep those prayers coming, God has been working and using Jonathan's story through all of this!), after 10 days in the NICU, and 38 days in the PICU at Arnold Palmer, there are very practical needs these grieving parents have. Neither left the hospital the entire 38 day stay in the PICU, and only left the room to get food and occasional sleep. Loss of income and mounting medical bills are the reality they now face. Many have asked what they can do to help. We are asking today, that if able, you would consider helping them with a financial contribution to ease the burden they now carry so they can focus on healing. 100% of funds donated will go directly toward medical bills and funeral home expenses. There has been such a sweet spirit and desire to help this family throughout the past month and a half. Dozens of people visited the hospital to spend time with Kathy, RJ, and Jonathan. Hundreds of people of have written/called/texted/posted, and quite literally tens of thousands of people across this country and the world have stopped what they were doing and prayed for their sweet family.
